Pearl necklaces are no longer restricted to a row or two of round cream pearls as they were years ago, although of course it is very difficult to beat the classical elegance of a single strand pearl necklace.

These days pearl necklaces are created in a variety of contemporary designs and colours including green, brown and burgundy, and tastes have switched to Sterling Silver and White Gold in preference to Yellow Gold.

Please remember that regardless of their colour, ALL of our pearls are genuine freshwater cultured pearls - we never sell faux, fake or glass pearls.

We have a vast selection of Freshwater Pearl Pendant Necklaces for you to choose from in either Sterling Silver, or 9ct Gold. From simple yet stylish white pearl pendants to more elaborate designs and unusual colours. All of our pearl pendants come complete with necklaces in either gold or silver as appropriate.

Many of our Pearl Pendant Necklaces are popular with brides for their own bridal jewellery or as gifts for their bridesmaids. They either have matching or co-ordinating pearl earrings enabling you to create your own sets.

An interesting point to remember is that pearls are measured accross their diameter, so teardrop pearls will always appear (and in fact are) larger than round pearls. A strange but true fact is that although they are bigger, they are less expensive than their round counterparts, so you get more pearl for your money!

Mother of Pearl JewelleryMother of Pearl Jewellery

Mother of Pearl is actually the internal coating of a Pearl Oyster shell. It smoothes the shell and defends the mollusc from parasites. Mother of Pearl can be in as many colours as pearls themselves, but is usually creamy-white to pink or lilac. Because it has the same iridescent quality as pearls it makes beautiful jewellery.

All of our Mother of Pearl jewellery, pendants, earrings and bracelets, are made from solid Sterling Silver and are in an array of beautiful modern designs. We have included abalone or paua shell here too because it is a shell just the same as mother of pearl!

Please remember that these are all natural products so slight variations in colour and pattern (particularly with abalone) can be expected.

All of our silver is hallmarked 925 Sterling Silver and many have been rhodium plated to reduce the risk of tarnishing. Don't forget though, all silver jewellery benefits from the occasional clean with a silver cleaning cloth (not silver dip) to keep it looking like new.

Tips for creating your Truth Charm Bracelet -
  1. Select your bracelet making sure it is at least 1" bigger than your wrist measurement - more if you are going to fill it.
  2. Select your charms! Don't mix and match too many different styles or colours, symmetry tends to look better.
  3. If you have a dangle charm, place it in the middle of your other charms.

Why are pearls the perfect choice of bridal jewellery?

Pearls in bridal jewellery are are said to symbolise purity and innocence. They are also said to 'take away the brides tears' ensuring she had a happy and tear-free wedded life.

Traditionally pearls are given to the bride either as a gift from her father or the groom, sometimes having been handed down through the generations.
Today many brides today also give their bridesmaids gifts of pearl pendants, earrings or bracelets and so the association and tradition of pearls and weddings continues!

We do recognise that not everyone wants pearls, so we have a collection of beautiful Cubic Zirconia pendants and earrings too. The range we have included here is just a small selection, so please do browse through the rest of our website where you will find many other designs and colours!

Girls just love to dress up! So that they can wear jewellery just like mum's, we have a selection ranging from pearl necklaces and bracelets to butterfly earrings and heart pendants. In addition to the small selection we have included here, most of our pendants can be fitted with a shorter 15" Sterling Silver chain if desired.

As all of our jewellery is suitable for adults and kids, the standard chain included is an adjustable 16" to 18" sterling silver chain. This can easily be exchanged for a shorter 15" Child's length chain. Simply add a note to your order telling us which item to replace the chain on.

As you may know, all silver items will tarnish over time and can eventually become quite dirty looking. Most of our jewellery has been rhodium plated which actually reduced the risk of tarnishing, but of course all silver will benefit with a polish every now and again to keep it looking like new. Our Silver Polishing Cloths are perfect for this.

We also have pearl necklace shorteners, 2.5" / 6cm sterling silver extender chains and of course the chains themselves should you want an additional larger or shorter one, or maybe a kids size chain!
